Join us to Support Families & Children in Iraq Suffering from Severe Poverty Since the US Invasion in 2003

Since the illegal U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, millions of children, women, and elderly people have been forced to live below the poverty line. Countless families endure inhumane conditions — surviving in tents or makeshift shelters after the widespread destruction of homes and government institutions.

Today, 1 in 4 Iraqi children suffers from malnutrition. An estimated 3 to 4 million children are either living on the streets or working in hard labor instead of attending school. Many have lost one or both parents, while others come from families devastated by economic collapse and unable to provide even the most basic needs.

All of this has happened under the watch of the United Nations, the United States as an occupying force, and its allies — who have failed to meet their obligations under international law to protect civilians. Years of instability, corruption, and the exploitation of Iraq’s resources have left an entire nation struggling with the lasting consequences of war and occupation.

In response, UDRF is launching a humanitarian aid campaign to provide urgent relief to orphans and vulnerable families who lack safe shelter and a stable income.
